Living in Mint Hill, NC
First settled in 1750, the Town of Mint Hill was later incorporated in 1971. It had a population of 23,341 as of the 2010 Census.
Mint Hill enjoys lots of community spirit. This is a nice rural community, with lots of open spaces. In recent years, new residential properties have been built closer in to town - along with that shopping centers were built. Mint Hill is a great blend of old and new.

Like the other smaller towns in the area, Mint Hill has it's own police department. which was established in 2003.
Education in Mint Hill
All children living in Mint Hill are served by the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system.
Specifically, students living in this quaint town attend:

- Lebanon Road Elementary.
- Northeast Middle
- Mint Hill Middle.
- Independence High School
- Butler High School
- Rocky River High School
Mint Hill is also the home of the Queens Grant Charter schools.
For homework assignments and after school activities, the Mint Hill branch of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County is a popular place for students to visit.
